I was paid a high compliment today by a church elder who said I wasn't like other white men he had met. He said I was a Kenyan!
What can I say? I have family here!

- I was ordained a priest in the one, holy, catholic and apostolic church on June 30, 2009 in the Diocese of Southern Ohio of The Episcopal Church. I first experienced God’s call as a freshman in college shortly after I discovered a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Traveling through three denominations; Roman Catholic, Metropolitan Community Churches (MCC) and The Episcopal Church and a 20 year career with the IRS, nearly 32 years later our dream has come true. God was faithful to the calling even after I came out (not that this came as any surprise to God!) and I was faithful over the nearly 32 year journey and never doubted the calling even when there seemed to be only the remotest possibility that it could come to pass. Some may say this journey was too long; that either I was running away from God or God was playing games with me. Neither was the case. Everything has happened at just the right time - God's time. This blog takes up the second leg of the journey as I serve God and the Church as an ordained priest. I trust that it will be as exciting and as fulfilling as the journey was getting here!
